At the Renewable Energy Association of Nigeria (REAN), we are advancing efforts to promote standardization, safety and professionalism across Nigeria’s renewable energy sector.

As part of this commitment, REAN is partnering with the Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency (NEMSA) to encourage and facilitate the NEMSA Certification Examination for eligible REAN members.

Proper certification of renewable energy installers and technicians is an important step towards ensuring that professionals working in the sector have the required competence, skills and knowledge to deliver safe and quality renewable energy systems. It also supports greater compliance with technical standards and helps build consumer confidence in the industry.

The examination will take place in Abuja and Lagos in October 2026, and REAN is supporting eligible members by facilitating access to the certification process, providing guidance on the requirements and helping them navigate the registration process.

This initiative forms part of REAN’s broader efforts to strengthen industry standards, improve technical capacity, promote safety and support regulatory compliance across the renewable energy sector.

By encouraging qualified professionals to become certified, we are contributing to a sector where quality, safety and professionalism are not optional, but fundamental to the growth of renewable energy in Nigeria.
