This announcement marked the end of the longstanding and controversial fuel subsidy that has plagued the country for decades. However, the removal of the fuel subsidy program has had significant impacts across all sectors in the country, stirring different perceptions from Nigerians including stakeholders, particularly in the renewable energy sector.
